As a Developmental Psychologist, Jenni is excited about utilizing her skills and expertise of child development to her work with AnLar. These skills are highlighted in her work with educational researchers aiming to understand current needs and trends, disseminating information to clients and public audiences, and working with evaluators to measure program effectiveness.
Prior to joining AnLar, Jenni completed a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She worked in substance abuse rehabilitation and in a community clinic focused on providing mental health care to individuals without insurance. Following this, Jenni earned her PhD in Lifespan Developmental Psychology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Throughout both degrees, she worked in the UAB Youth Safety Lab researching unintentional injury prevention in children and adolescents. These experiences prepared her for the challenges of understanding educational research and working directly with behavioral innovations.
When not working, Jenni enjoys spending time with her wife and their dog (Betsy) and cat (Persephone). Jenni also discovered a hidden talent as a pool shark (maybe not quite…) while playing with her friends at the local LGBTQ+ hangout. When not being overly competitive at pool, you can find Jenni in a reading nook with a “fun” book after years of strictly academic reading.
