Emma Johnson-Weiss

Project Manager

As a Project Manager at AnLar, Emma provides the organizational and communication skills needed to drive high-impact projects. Her interest in public policy and creative problem solving ensures projects roll out smoothly.

Before joining AnLar, Emma was a public servant. One of her many roles was managing the Special Emphasis Program at the Department of Homeland Security, where she planned diversity and inclusion trainings for federal employees. Emma began honing her leadership and organizational skills as the Provincial Coordinator of a nonprofit organization aimed at preventing Malaria and HIV in rural sub-Saharan Africa. She also taught 8th grade English for several years as a Peace Corps volunteer in Mozambique. Emma has a B.A. in Political Science from UCSB and earned her M.A in International Affairs and Economics from the Johns Hopkins University SAIS.

Emma enjoys roaming the world and has spent nearly seven of the past ten years living abroad. She is currently based in Bologna, Italy.
