As a Senior Program Analyst at AnLar, Mia focuses most of her effort on ensuring some of AnLar’s major projects get done on time and done well. She thrives in strategic planning with regards to policy development and evaluating the efficiency of procedures and quality control in organizational systems. Mia is a natural at maintaining order (she has more animals in her house than most zoos!) and her explicit attention to detail makes her an invaluable asset to the team.
Before joining AnLar, Mia wore many hats, from accounting to owning multiple businesses to serving as an office manager of a private firm. In the last few years, she has worked on a large federal project with the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Special Education and Office of Indian Education. Mia used her years of experience in accounting and procedural development to oversee the repayment process for a large federal scholar grant program and develop procedures to ensure smooth, accurate document processing between multiple program offices.
When Mia is not glued to her desk chair, she is up running circles around her three kids, 1 dog and 5 cats! When or if she ever gets time to sit at the T.V., she loves to watch the Golden Girls, Law and Order, or the movie, Austin Powers. If not at home, you will find her running her kids to after school activities, hitting the gym for “her” time, or walking up and down the grocery store aisles for routine shopping. Mia has a passion for nutrition, health, and fitness, and has a lifetime goal to achieve a competitive stage physique.
