As a Research Associate, Megan enthusiastically supports the Research Team on various projects, such as TIMSS, ICILS, and SPACE-IT. She enjoys conducting literature reviews, data collection and analysis, and program evaluation, drawing on her research and writing skills and extensive teaching experience.
Before joining AnLar, Megan was a dedicated early childhood and special educator in K-12 public, charter, and private schools across New York City, New Orleans, and Northern Virginia. She earned her BA in Journalism from Indiana University while writing for local papers and public radio. Megan also holds a BS in Urban Education from Mercy University and is currently pursuing her PhD in Education at George Mason University. Her research interests focus on school mental health, particularly teacher well-being. She recently presented a paper on teacher capacity for mental health work and conducted a phenomenological study on early childhood educators’ experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Megan and her family love to travel, especially to cities and beaches. Her favorite international destination is Tuscany, Italy. As a trained classical singer, Megan enjoys attending live music and theater. She also loves cooking, baking, running, and Pure Barre.
