Evidence-Based Classroom Management: A K-5 Educator’s Toolkit

Project Case Study
The Challenge

Provide K-5 educators with evidence-based, low-cost and low-intensity strategies or resources to help students demonstrate expected behaviors in the classroom so that they and their classmates can better engage in learning.

The Client

U.S. Department of Education (AnLar was a subcontractor to Abt Global)

What We Did

First AnLar staff conducted systematic reviews of research studies using What Works Clearinghouse (WWC) protocols and standards. Then we met with an expert panel of educators and behavioral researchers to review and synthesize the findings from the studies that met WWC standards. We worked with the expert panel to draft recommendations, and compiled resources. Once the practice guide was written, AnLar designed and formatted the guide.
