Senior Data Systems Specialist

AnLar is looking for a highly motivated and passionate individual to provide direct leadership, support, and consultation for education data system projects for clients in federal, state, and local (district) education and early learning agencies. We are looking for an individual with education data system experience or those looking to develop significant expertise in this area. This position will provide project management and consultation throughout the requirements gathering, technical programming, testing, and educational data system development implementation phases.

The salary range for this position is $85,000-$95,000. Consistent with other hiring processes, we will implement our no negotiation policy and we will make a data-driven offer based on the candidate’s skills and related experience, aligned with our company-wide salary structure.

What the job entails:

This position will work with various activities focused on special education data system projects. 

  • Data system support project leadership: Provides oversight over the project activities, project team, and overall contract success. Leads the client and technical partnership relationship. Understands the business rules and processes for the data system project. Responsible for the requirements gathering process and assisting in writing user stories and project tasks. Creates the project roadmap and timeline, tracks the project deliverables, and oversees the quality assurance process. Manages financial aspects of the project, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Oversees subcontractor management, ensuring all subcontracted work aligns with project goals and quality standards.
  • Project scope and organization support: Leads the development of project plans and scopes of work for data system development projects to ensure deliverables are identified and project activities are clearly defined. Create and implement structures for organizing and maintaining the work. Review deliverables, products, and plans created to ensure high-quality development and delivery to the client. 
  • Business development: Takes initiative in leading or contributing to proposal tasks with minimal support. Participates in strategic discussions on win themes, work approaches, and client engagement. Drives business development by expanding work with existing clients and establishing new client relationships. Plays a leadership role in proposal development, which includes leading technical proposals, aligning proposals with team objectives, managing communication with external partners and subcontractors, and facilitating internal cross-team collaboration.
