Senior Technical Assistance Specialist

As a Senior Technical Assistance Specialist with AnLar, self-proclaimed process geek and people person, Jayne loves connecting with stakeholders to collaborate and innovate. She is a firm believer in the power of partnerships to collectively accomplish that which cannot be achieved in isolation.

Jayne enjoys working with the talented members of the AnLar Technical Assistance (TA) Team and their clients. She’s experienced first-hand how effective TA can grow leadership and build sustainable capacity within organizations. Working with teams to accomplish complex goals has been at the center of Jayne’s career. She has over 20 years of experience in leading large federal grants, TA initiatives, and professional development programs. Throughout her tenure, Jayne has served in key, leadership roles at the U.S. Department of Education, the Kansas State Department of Education, the Corporation of Public Broadcasting, the University of Kansas, the International Society for Technology in Education, and as a CEO of her own LLC. She maintains team successes have been achieved through tenets of effective TA: Shared vision and ownership, systems thinking, interdependent partnerships, robust communication and authentic collaboration. She is particularly proud of the free, online learning resources developed by the Ready to Learn Initiative and High Plains R*TEC for teachers, students, parents, caregivers; designed to enhance learning through the use of media and technology.

Jayne has had the privilege of teaching at all grade band levels, Pre-K through Graduate Studies. She received her doctorate in education from Kansas State University, holds a master’s degree in marketing education from the University of Central Oklahoma and a bachelor’s degree in communications and political science from Stephens College. She is published and passionate about the promise of online professional development and coaching, personalized learning, student leadership, and digital equity initiatives.

Jayne puts her facilitation skills to the test when planning get-togethers for her 13-member blended family, (ages 14-91) where their adventures find them maxing out amusement park rides, sunning on beaches, cheering for beloved sports teams, or ordering endless bowls of chips and guacamole at favorite Mexican restaurants. She and her husband, Raymo share their love of travel and music by seeking out great jazz venues, and Irish musicians.
