Tara is excited to be joining AnLar as its newest Graduate Intern! Prior to joining the team, she worked as a Policy Fellow with the DC State Board of Education where she analyzed District policies related to high school graduation requirements and drafted literature reviews focused on educational trends and best practices in DCPS and DCPCS. She has also spent time at the US Department of Education where she interned with Undersecretary Mitchell and focused on aiding staff fulfill the Administration’s post secondary endeavors, such as determining institutional conversions’ lawfulness and responding to constituents’ concerns on gainful employment regulations.
An avid arts education and STEAM movement supporter, Tara is looking forward to continuing work at AnLar to ensure ensure that every student receives a well-rounded education and one that prepares him or her for post secondary and professional careers. Speaking of post secondary careers, Tara is thrilled to be continuing her academic journey as she starts her Masters in Education and Human Development, Education Policy Studies at her alma mater, The George Washington University this Fall.
