Rosemary Collins
Program Analyst

As a Program Analyst at AnLar, Rosemary can be found tackling a wide-variety of tasks, from developing newsletters and writing policy briefs, to researching federal and state regulations, to monitoring project data and budgets. Rosemary, an avid swimmer, has an affinity for order and accuracy, which helps her Phelps-like stroke and makes her an invaluable asset to the team.

Before joining AnLar, Rosemary learned the ins-and-outs of federal government as a contracted monitor within the U.S. Department of Education’s Statewide Longitudinal Data Systems (SLDS) grant program. There, she used her superhuman powers of organization, precision, and persistence to administer a portfolio of state grants — tracking budgets, coordinating technical assistance, and gathering and sharing best practices — and manage the program’s website and resource repository. Before joining the SLDS team, Rosemary monitored contracts and programs for children with intensive needs in Montgomery County, Maryland, blending her interest in helping young people with her passion for data. Rosemary’s past experience helping others does not stop there. In addition to her monitoring work, she’s used her B.A. in Psychology and Masters in Clinical Social Work to provide socioemotional therapy to children, adolescents, and adults; as a survey administrator and test proctor on a project designed to help at risk youth in the DC area; and as a client service advisor at a national payroll and benefits administration company.

If she’s not hard at work, Diet Coke in hand, researching, analyzing, and making sure everyone is following the rules, you’re likely to find Rosemary on a long walk with a TED Talk, perfecting her swimming form in a pool, or binge watching Netflix. She loves dogs, reading, and all things Seinfeld. But please don’t ever challenge her to a game of trivia or try to share her swim lane — you’ll immediately regret either decision.
