As AnLar’s Research Analyst, Emily can be found dabbling in many aspects of AnLar’s work. She is a graduate of the University of Maryland’s Higher Education M.A. program, where her coursework has focused on college readiness, college access, learning outcomes assessment, and research methods. Her passions include creating equitable opportunities and improving educational outcomes for all students.
Prior to joining AnLar’s team, Emily was a research intern at the Institute for Higher Education Policy (IHEP). At IHEP, she worked on a number of ongoing projects; however, most of her brainpower went towards an initiative to improve educational attainment across 75 cities by engaging key community stakeholders from the education, private, non-profit, and public sectors. Emily holds a B.A. in Educational Psychology from the University of Iowa.
In her free time, Emily (a self-proclaimed foodie) can be found trying some of DC’s best restaurants and wondering when she will ever learn to cook like Mike Isabella. She also enjoys hot yoga, getting lost in hours of TED talks, listening to Tim Ferriss’ podcast, and shamelessly indulging in Harry Potter marathons. Learn more or reach out below:
